Elijah was 5 years old when he was delivered from the spirit of fear.
It happened the following night after it was cast out of me, Christina, Elijah’s mother. We were at home Monday evening when it was so quiet in the house. I went into Elijah’s room to see him sitting on his bed, white as a sheet. I asked him what was the matter, he replied, “I’m scared.” I picked him up and brought him in the other room with me. I asked him if he wanted me to help him with this fear, he replied, “Yes, mommy.” Before I could even get myself situated, he was completely bent over, seated in his child-sized chair, violently exhaling.
He did this 3 times before I asked him what he was doing. He replied, “This is how the spirit of fear comes off my breath.” I began to pray over him the same words that were prayed over me the night before when I was delivered from the spirit of fear. Before we got too far into it he asked me for a bucket!
I returned with a small Tupperware bowl, I really thought he was going to throw up. He continued hacking. After we finished praying and casting out the demon, he sat up, gave a big belch, stood up and commanded that demon to leave our house in Jesus’ name and commanded it to go directly to the PIT! He had physically walked over to the
door, opened it up and pointed out the door as he was commanding it to leave.
When he was all done, he slammed the door and brushed his hands together if to say, “All gone!” He was so excited, he got his jambox and his kidzjam worship cd and we sang and danced to every song with all the musical instruments we could find in our house. We praised God until the cd was over, (about an hour). When it was done, he about collapsed with exhaustion. It was the best nights sleep he has ever had. See, the problem always came at night. Elijah had been tormented by horrible nightmares for as long as I could remember.
He would wake up screaming and tell me of the horrible monsters and strangers that would look horrifying and do awful things. Since his deliverance, he has not had one nightmare. He knows God delivered him from this spirit of fear. He also knows that God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear, but one of peace, confidence, and a sound mind. There are other things that we continue to work on. Although he is only 6 years old, Elijah attends deliverance and knows that God can heal us and wants us to be the boys and girls he has called us to be.
GLORY TO GOD!!!!
